Bob Dylan: On the Road

Bob Dylan, the awardee of the Nobel Prize for Literature, is one of the artists who influenced strongly the pop music around the world. Most of his famous works were created in 60s. However, he has not devoted himself just to the music, but he also writes poems and draws American landscapes. Bob Dylan´s fans will have a chance to see his pictures in the Cross Hall of the Old Town Hall. The exhibition will showcase how America looked 50 years ago – motels, stands with fast foods, cinemas, long countryside roads. The exhibition will be accompanied by his texts, photographs and other interesting objects.


Czech Beer Festival

Czech Beer Festival (Český pivní festival) is the biggest beer festival in the Czech Republic, held for 17 days every year in May in Prague. The festival features around 120 different beers, including 70 Czech brands and other foreign brews, including those from the United States or United Kingdom, with up to 10,000 seating capacity and service provide around 200 girls and boys dressed in Czech traditional costumes.

The first smaller version of Czech Beer Festival outside the country was held in September 2010 in Frankfurt, the next year has spread also to Berlin and Moscow. The largest was in Moscow in the VDNKh park, with a capacity of 10,000 seats. In 2013 it also debuted in Chicago and New York.

Excellent food and wine, delicious coffee, good beer and treats form all over the world. Upscale Prague restaurants will present themselves in the gardens of the baroque Troja Chateau, and their chefs will offer their sample menus. The festival also includes the Chef Parade cooking lessons, cooking shows, a competition of amateur cooks. A 2 day accompanying program will provide enough entertainment for visitors and the festival ground will also include the Hamleys bus for children as well as a picnic lawn or a grill & BBQ zone.


Jack Daniel's Burgerfest (Sept. 9-10, 2017)

In this time a burger is a symbol of haste and often not very good quality. The festival aims to disprove the myths of American cuisine, culture and show that a burger is not a burnt poor quality piece of meat, but an art that deserves its festival! Jack Daniel's presents Burgerfest not just about burgers and BBQ, but primarily it is an event for those who want to have fun, eat well, experience a slice of America in all its diversity and in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Premiere edition of a festival dedicated to signature Czech open-faced sandwiches, finger dn other types of sandwiches, canapés, and party foods. There will be live music, beer, cocktails, fine coffee, and more tasty treats.

Goose & Cider Fest (October 14, 2017)

More than 1000 geese will be baked and litres of cider will flow. What you can look forward to? For sale of goose specialties such as foie gras, goose fat, kaldoun soup, goose pate, roast goose, goose burgers or traditional pancakes tossed in goose fat. This year, for the third time, the goose fest will be held together with Cider festival. Visitors will be able to taste the cider from domestic producers, and also cider from abroad, stalls with apples, strudels, jams and all that autumn gardens have to offer will be present there.

Prague Folklore Days

11th International Meeting of Folklore Ensembles “Prague Folklore Days”, the biggest folk dance event in central Europe. The festival is open for amateur folklore ensembles of all types (singing groups, dancing groups with live or recorded music, historic groups) as well as for marching groups /majorettes, historic soldiers, marching bands, flag wavers, carnival groups etc./ without age limitations. Open air performances of the ensembles in the centre of Prague.


Prague Spring International Music Festival

The Prague Spring International Music Festival (Czech: Mezinárodní hudební festival Pražské jaro, commonly Czech: Pražské jaro, Prague Spring) is a permanent showcase for outstanding performing artists, symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles of the world.

Prague Spring's traditional venue is the Rudolfinum concert hall, a venerable Neo-renaissance building with an excellent auditorium, situated on the bank of the Vltava River. It is complemented by Prague's ornate Municipal House (Obecní dům), which has a larger seating capacity.


Prague Autumn International Music Festival

Prague Autumn International Music Festival (1991-2008) was the second largest classical music festival in Prague held annually in September. It was organised under the auspices of Václav Klaus, president of the Czech republic and was co-produced by the City of Prague.

The history of the festival began early after the Velvet revolution. A large range of stars from all over the world has appeared at the festival since the beginning. During the last 14 years have performed 66 orchestras, 96 conductors, 122 singers, 53 pianists, 31 violin players, 24 cellists, 16 choirs, 6 chamber ensembles, and 23 other instrumentalists. The number of attendees approaches 270 000, plus millions of radio listeners all around the world and domestic TV watchers.



Febiofest is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and the second most prestigious festival in the country (after Karlovy Vary). The festival presents a wide spectrum of contemporary and retrospective examples of high-quality film including alternative, film-school and amateur works to a diverse viewing public.


Signal Festival

Signal Festival is a four-day festival of light art and emerging technologies in Prague, Czech Republic. Held annually in October, lighting designers from the Czech Republic and abroad create lighting installations in streets and public spaces across the city, including famous historical landmarks. The festival was included among the top priority cultural events of Prague and the Czech Republic by the city authorities and the Czech Ministry of Culture in 2016.


World Roma Festival

The World Roma Festival or Khamoro is an international Romani festival held annually in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. It belongs to the most prestigious Roma projects on an international level with top international Roma musicians performing. The five-day-long festival is held in May on the streets of Prague and in a number of the city's clubs. The festival is divided into three sections: the Expert Section, which includes seminars, Culture Section, which consists of music, dancing, and parades, and Media Section, which provides the information leading up to the festival.
